About Ray A. Twist
Born in 1921, he is publishing poetry that he wrote after retiring from Celanese Chemical Co. in Kingsville, He received praise and honorable mention for his work ethics.
Ray is an Army WWII Veteran, who was a Staff Seargent. He was in charge of a tank command, and some of his poetry reflects the emotions and heartbreak, brought on by a war.
His early life taught him skills with horses and cattle, which allowed him to buy his own ranch, where he produced a quality herd of cattle, later selling them to the King Ranch, when he retired from ranching. Ray is still active at age 92, and still writes poetry now and then. He enjoys his dog, Rocky, whom he claims is psychic and human and plans to live a longer life.
