The author himself read every single word in three very big dictionaries in preparation. It contains most of the words to be found in a larger dictionary, except those an educated person knows and those from special areas like medicine or biology.

Hardly anyone knows more than a quarter of these words and there are about five thousand entries. So you can count on learning several thousand new things.
