About the Author
I was born in 1939 in Tarrant County,Texas on the banks of Villege Creek, in a house with no plumbing or electricity. My uncle Ruben rode a horse to get the doctor from nearby Arlington. At the age of six, I moved to the small town of Decatur. I was raised around farms, ranches and livestock. I rode as an amateur in local rodeos. I grew up reading and loving Luke Short and Max Brand. I currently live in San Antonio, Texas with my lovely wife Celine and mixed terrier Rio.
