About the Book

This book is a collection of all abrupt and different ideas collected from the 1960s,1970s HBS articles and books and they have been reconstructed to given a much sharper focus by bringing out the modern idea and collecting from places that can provide sharper ideas on innovation and competition. The models and diagrams are all self created with my own ideas from an understanding of previous concepts and concepts in books and HBS articles. The last chapter is a collection of data and modern information from MIT videos on energy/environment.

About the Author

I gained my expertise around 3 years back from a very challenging project at Philips Analytical (Spectris Technologies) and then some experience in a German firm where I had played certain leadership role. Then came my very amazing blog http://baisham.blogspot.com/ which I created from my thoughts from HBS books and articles and of course my friends in Europe told that it had exemplary thought process. I have also written a few papers on E-commerce , corporate strategy and HR after I took admission at UNBSJ around 9 months back. I also contribute regularly or whenever I have time in the comments section of Ivey Business Journal articles. I also keep on blogging at ideablob.com as mf66. I stay in Saint John, NB , Canada and I have always been a voracious reader . For a long time I had been a very voracious reader and my first breakthrough was when I read the book Competitive advantage by Michael E Porter. thats when I got the concept and started to use it. Sometimes its difficult when someones concept is too sharp thats when I started my blog and finally after writing few papers on E-commerce, HR, corporate strategy I gained the competence and confidence to write this book. This book is full with abstract ideas which are not known to everybody and hence it would definitely help those looking forward to specialize in competitive advantage or start with it after reading few books written by Michael E Porter. It is a collection of ideas that has been reconstructed to put them in a competitive strategy format.
