“The next Morning Doctor Holiday joined Leo for an early breakfast. “Good morning, my friend,” said Leo, as the Doctor approached. “And a very good morning to you, Leo. I see we are the only ones up this early and, in fact, I am glad we are alone.” “And I think I know why,” said Leo. “You heard me say that the team would be going to New York yet I told you that the ones watching for us would be expecting us to use aircraft as transportation, however; you will be using other means of transportation that I cannot disclose at this time.” “Oh and before I forget, Here is a list of people that you will need to keep your eyes open for. I am giving it to you because you will recognize many of them from your visits to The White House. Some of these names are of people you knew quite well, but are definitely not our friends.” Just then, Nicholas walked in, and Leo invited him to join them for breakfast. “I would love to Leo; Claire, Heather and Geoffrey are having breakfast with the children. I told them that I was on a mission this morning, and that you never ask questions around Christmas time.” “By the way, where is Ciara this morning?” “Well, my boy, Ciara and her sister are out for an early morning walk on the beach, and then they plan to spend the rest of the day decorating for Christmas.” “And speaking of Christmas,” said Doctor Holiday, “I have some secrets of my own to take care of. I hope to see you all for dinner this evening.” After the Doctor left, Leo told Nicholas that he wanted to make sure that he keep this conversation to himself. “No one, not even Claire is to know what I am about to tell you.” “Leo you know that I am completely loyal to you, and I also know that if you have something to tell me that cannot be repeated to my wife, your daughter, then it must be for her good as well as the others.” “Yes, Nicholas, it is indeed in the best interest for everyone. Leo then went on to tell him about the enemies that would be watching for them. He told him that Doctor Holiday knew some of these men from his many visits to earth from his planet, and would be able to recognize them, so he did tell him who these men were. “I also told him that you would be flying into New York; what I didn’t tell him is that you will be sailing out.” “I don’t understand, Sir.” “These men that want to rule the world will be expecting us to bring everyone back to the island by aircraft so I want no one to know how I intend to transport you all back, no one except you that is.” “On the day you depart New York, you will be leading your team to the place of your departure. I am about to give you your instructions, and I want them committed to memory. This is of the utmost importance, Nicholas. We can’t afford to put anything in writing.” After Leo left, Nicholas decided to take a walk on the beach and go over everything Leo had told him. He knew that there was no room for error in this plan, and that everyone would be counting on him to bring them home safely. He was very proud that Leo thought so highly of him, yet he was also a little overwhelmed. He knew that of all the missions he had gone on so far, this was the most dangerous one of all. He would be responsible for so many lives, and the future of the new world hinged on how successful this mission really was. This in itself was enough to make Nicholas cringe.

About the Book
We last saw Nicholas on the Island of Bliss, where He, along with Claire, Geoffrey and Heather had just discovered that they would play a major role in repopulation, after the end of the world.
The four of them would transport many of the people they rescued to other destinations. These people would be the first generation in a wonderful new world; a World of Knowing. There would be no doubt, no hate, no jealously. There would be only love.
Now, before they could take others out into the new world, there was much to learn. Leo would be their mentor, once again.
You were told in, “Awakening Nicholas,” that there would be a time when people did not die. Everyone would be able to project themselves to any place they chose to be. Death would simply not be necessary in order to be with your loved ones that had crossed over.
But, let’s not jump ahead of ourselves. Nicholas and Geoffrey have a much more urgent mission ahead of them and many surprises in store.
The thrills and adventure continues in "Nicholas and the Spirit of Bliss" as Nicholas explores the universe and continues his time traveling adventures.

About the Author
Though not originally from Mississippi, Lee & Linda Eschler call the Mississippi Gulf Coast home. Linda writes children’s book, as well as adult fiction and Lee is the illustrator. They both enjoyed successful careers in Television and Print advertising, and most recently were employed as Special Project Managers with Books Are Fun, a Readers Digest Company. Linda’s first book, Awakening Nicholas, was written under the pen name of Lindsay Delaney; since then she has written the first three installments in her Strawberry Fairy series titled The Strawberry Fairies Save Sandcastle Island, The Strawberry Fairies and The Secret Of Mystery Island, and The Strawberry Fairies And The Treasures Of Pirate’s Island.
