Dixon's wanderings take him through the streets of an ethnically diverse Camden, where the sights and sounds of a bygone era can still be seen and heard through his keenly observant and descriptive style.

This story is more than just about a boy, a bike, and a bridge. It is about the human need for exploration, the search for self, and the people that we meet along the way in life's checkered tapestry. More than this though, it is a story about values, commitment, family and the love of one's country.

About the Author

Johnny Dixon grew up in Camden, New Jersey and attended Temple University for a while before entering the Meat Industry from which he is now retired. Married and the father of four children and eight grandchildren, he currently resides in Parkersburg, West Virginia with his dear wife Sally.
