Counterfeit Governor begins in the mid-1960's with two young men surviving the death and destruction of Vietnam. Upon returning home they start their parallel political careers, one in Chicago, the other in Springfield. One will become the Governor of Illinois, the other the Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives.
On the streets of Chicago a tough guy is forging his own destiny using intimidation and murder. He works his way to the top of organized crime in Chicago then changes direction using his influence to gain a foothold into Illinois politics.
Riding the coat tails of these men are two women who will do anything to gain their own power and prestige.
In the end, only two will claim the seats of power in Illinois.
About the Author
Colonel Randolph R. Harrison is a retired Army National Guard Officer who served 34 years fulltime in the United States Army National Guard. He and his wife reside in Petersburg, Illinois. He has earned a Bachelor degree from Governor?s State University and graduated from an advanced studies program in International Strategic Studies at the prestigious Army War College. The Colonel has published four other books.
