About the Book
Black poets have not been able to talk about slavery as if they were experiencing it themselves until now. Total Blackness is a book of poetry that tells the untold story of rape and murder. It is the black experience that is outlined for you from past to present that will enable the reader to understand our current plight as African Americans.
About the Author
I come from a long line of slaves and sharecroppers. So far I have lived a hard life. I have been homeless and poor for the majority of my adult life. However, I still strive for excellence in everything I do. In 2002 I had published my first book Walk On Eagles Wings. I am also a person who suffers with a mental illness. I have much stress in my life being single parent of two lovely children to whom I try to set a Godly example for them. With the support of my mother Rosa Herron and my grandmother Ernestine Futrell, as well as having God, the Father on my side, life as a single parent has been made easier. For without my mother, Rosa and my mother's mother, Ernestine, and most importantly, without God in my life, I am nothing.
