About the Book
When Captain Nicholas von Hoyersverda, captured at Stalingrad in 1943, turns up in a Siberian prison camp, neo-Nazis see an opportunity to prove Hitler’s Reich will rise again. The American president sends Salamanca to foil their plan. Crossing war-torn Afghanistan, he does a deal with the Chinese secret service that enables him to rescue von Hoyersverda from Magadan. But Salamanca is wounded during the escape and the neo-Nazis seize von Hoyersverda. After a flight across Asia by spy plane, Salamanca arrives in Berlin in time for the showdown, but it is the old soldier, von Hoyersverda, who plays the final card.
