About the Book
Love.
For most it is a rewarding aspect of life, bringing completeness to one's soul. But what happens when one's love for another is unreturned? Without resolution, love can turn into that which is its prime opposite: fear.
Seasons of Unrequited Love is the first collection of poems by Mickel A. Paris which delves into the fringe of emotions experienced when one's love for another is unrequited. Fear's derivatives of insecurity, obsession, frustration, misery, anger and hatred are explored, in a storyline which takes one character on a ride of self-discovery from Summer's adolescent naiveté to Winter's bitter bite - and finally to Spring's renewal.
