About the Book

Charles Buford Lowell, having served the CIA and the IRI, its illegal clone, for many years returned to the calm and peace of his home at Sunriver, Oregon.

Unexpectedly he is forced to return to duty. The IRI has taken a contract with the IRA Regulars to uncover and remove dissident members who, by bombing and terrorism, are destroying the temporary peace between Ireland and Britain. Charles identifies and eliminates them in his usual imaginative ways.

Father O'Sullivan, leader of the The Temple of New Life, is attracting thousands of converts to a new religion that permits open sex, drugs, and more. A massive complex is being built in Los Angeles that is costing billions. Temples are being planned worldwide.

To attract the Mexican people, a trial temple is built in Mexico under an ancient pyramid. In disguise, Charles attends the New Mass where he is forced to witness human sacrifice and drink the blood of the victim, or be discovered and killed.

He brings Father O'Sullivan to justice, but powerful allies and a large bribe secures his release, and he returns to Ireland. Charles returns to Catholic Ireland to bring about his demise. This is his greatest challenge.

The story moves between unforgettable characters with varying motives, bloody encounters, and intrigue. Woven throughout the story, Charles is torn between two loves.
