About the Book
To afford her three granddaughters and any future grandchildren some knowledge of the fast-moving twentieth century in which she grew up, the author has compiled anecdotal memories of her life in Durham, North Carolina, New York City, and Richmond, Virginia. These glimpses into the lives of some of the family members who preceded them might afford insights into the origins of both their medical and personal strengths and weaknesses.
