Madelyn nodded her head and reached over for her coffee. “Well, Kemp, that’s exactly what it is, or it could be. But, what is really exciting is the location of some ancient Templar vaults and coffers.” Hastings laughed out loudly. “Yeah right.” Then shook his head from side to side. “Another fruitless treasure trail. The world is littered with this shit. I bet this is another one of those ‘follow me and get rich medieval quick pyramid’ schemes.” Madelyn shook her head from left to right and almost agreed, as he smirked, then took another sip of his drink. “Well, that might be true, Kemp, but this parchment is dated to at least two hundred and fifty years earlier than your book on medieval armour. This part of the vellum, here, is dated as June 1812. But, this portion here, no, that is easily 12th or 13th century. The hand writing is totally different and is penned in early gothic, French style Latino with different ink. This list was been placed here deliberately, hidden away from prying eyes and I think not for general distribution either, or conversely, was misplaced here. Unless, again, it was deliberate. Do you know what ‘St John, KT GM’ means?” she asked, then turned the letter around and read off some more interesting detail, then read out loud what she could distinguish as writing. “It says on this parchment the words ‘Order di Templari thesaurus’. That means that this could be an authentic inventory of the Order’s wealth in the year 1812, and if you look here... it is clearly written ‘Ecosse’, and, Kemp, that means Scotland.”

Once Hastings discovers the Templari Thesaurus, he is shown the core workings of the Order. He has been indoctrinated as to how the Order manages its ancient business in this modern world. As the journey unfolds, Hastings discovers the darker sides and Teutonic elements of the Order. Now he engages the modern Scottish Order to assert their military power and authority to deal with unwelcome visitors. How far will the Order go to protect itself?
About the Author
Andrew David Doyle holds a degree in business studies and works internationally with a major oil and gas company. His other works include The Circle of Swords, The Silent Apostle, The Lost Monks of Avalon, and The Whispering Swordsman. He and his wife, Susan, have one daughter and live in Baku, Azerbaijan.
