About the Book

Dundee's extra-ordinary journalist...

Dundee spy - Jessie Jordan - was brought to justice not only by the conscience of one specific individual but, was supported by a team of highly trained experts who hailed from within the ranks of the British Secret Services.

This team of specialists worked as a single unit in a collaboration from Bletchley Park and with the USA and the international secret services community, who had targeted specific individuals operating as a global 'secret unit' and who were passing critical information regarding new age technology to the Wermacht.

But, more importantly, the German Abwehr had embarked on a murderous campaign which was politically motivated, and if, was allowed to unfold we would have witnessed the death of an American Colonel, and would have witnessed a certain 'shift of blame' toward the Soviet Bloc and the cold war, of which, may have had very significant outcomes that 'could' have led to a much longer and colder World War II.

About the Author

Andrew David Doyle

Overview - Dundee Author and Soldier.
Prolific Scottish author, Andrew David Doyle was born in Mary field Hospital, Dundee, Scotland, on 20th January 1962. His parents were Francis Love Doyle and Ethel Muriel Smith both of Dundee and were a couple who provided a happy and stable life at home for this young man to grow up. Andrew has two siblings Frank and William Doyle who both reside in Scotland.

Academics Fundamental schooling began in early 1967 at Gillburn, Primary School Kirkton, Dundee, after which Andrew progressed to Kirkton High, School in 1973 culminating in direct entry into the Robb Caledon Shipyard for the potential career at being a Hammersmith, Welder/Plater with little or no educational qualifications behind him. By mid 1978 Andrew had put the shipbuilding world behind him, and had raced off and joined the ranks of the British Army - (Royal Artillery) as a junior soldier 'Gunner'(Boys service), and subsequently spent a further 15 years maturing and experiencing military life, he re-joined civil life on 19th January 1992 having served as an Artillery Bombardier for many years.

It was during the latter years of his military service whilst serving at the Royal School of Artillery Larkhill (Home of the Royal Artillery) that he discovered his new found talents for effective and constructive writing, and eventually completed the first DRAFT of his first Novel 'The Lost Monks of Avalon' a project that advanced into a trilogy of novels comprising 'The Avalonian Traveler's Guide' & 'The Whispering Swordsman' which were in essence, completed 27 years ago, albeit, Andrew since this time has progressed and completed a subsequent series of novels to date, of which, are listed below with a short synopsis of each.

Andrew has stated that he has no intentions of 'resting' his pen at this time and he intimates that new clandestine subjects are constantly being offered to him as his foothold on the literal world takes a solid grip. His current career is embedded within the Oil and Gas industry and he has worked the International arena with extensive exposure to most major countries operated as a representative of a Major Oil and Gas Operator, a career now stemming into 23 years.

Andrew will be the first to admit that his thirst for knowledge is not only limited to biblical subject matter relating to the Holy Order of the Knights Templar or other organizations in his work, but conversely, recent literature research has taken our homespun author to writing World War 1 & II espionage novels and Andrew's first novel of this ilk, was called 'Jute Jam & Jessie Jordan' or is affectionately known as the '4 J's' which in essence is based on true and factual accounts that led Andrew on a trail of discovery in the darker side of warring counter intelligence and the workings of an internal spy-ring that evolved within his home city of Dundee, Tayside, Scotland during the years 1937 - 1939. His second novel in this WWI series of work is called 'FLICKER' and follows the deadly trail of toxic gases that were employed to exterminate masses of soldiers on the battlefield abroad in Ypres and Belgium, the premise hinged as to how Bletchley Park's MI5 & MI6 Senior Military staff dealt with counter espionage issues.

When one absorbs Andrews written work they will instantly acknowledge the length and breadth of his exacting prose and the level of detail as to which this author has deep dived into prior to constructing his novels, although Andrew prefers to write shorter novels - approximately 200 - 250 pages- and maintains a fine balance as not to cloud the overall storyline with an infinite amount of detail that can detract from the leading subject matter.
