About the Author
I started studying the Bible at a very young age, at home and later on with the Jehovah witness. By the time I entered high school, Bible studies got replaced by sports; at that time I fell to the temptations of the American dream. By the time I reached college, I was part of the school’s football team. Academically I didn’t make it simply because I had too many academic gaps caused by the fact that I was too tired to pick up and open a book after practice. So, failing school miserably, lead to the end of my football career. So, I dropped out of school and started working in a call center where I met a girl that I was very fond of; she had her heart broken in a previous relationship. I took her as my girlfriend anyways. She was with me just for fun, but my lack of experience wouldn’t let me see the red flags. A few months later, I lost my job and my girlfriend left me; she said she couldn’t wait for me to get back on my feet. At that time I had just hit rock bottom. I became depressed, which lead me to become insomniac. Seeing how my life took a wrong turn, one day I sat down and asked God: “why is it that I couldn’t succeed in every activities or relationship I undertook”. I said to myself, there must be something I’m doing wrong. Then I asked God:” please show me where I was wrong so that I no longer suffer any losses”. So, I resumed my Bible studies but this time alone. The more I read, the more my thirst for biblical knowledge grew, to the point that I would read the Bible every day. At that point, through the law given to Moses, God showed me everything I was doing wrong: I was chasing the wrong type of women, I was hanging out with wrong type of people, and my diet wasn’t good either, and so on. In the meantime, life had gotten harder for me as I was diagnosed with: diabetes, high blood pressure, and bad cholesterol, without forgetting the fact that I was already suffering from insomnia. But, even though this was a hard pill to swallow, I still kept faith in God, and said to myself: “these illnesses may not be to death, but rather for the glory of God. Believe me or not, God showed me through my experiences, what caused all these chronic diseases; it was eating from the fruits of the vines. You herd me right; the forbidden fruit(s) in the Garden of Eden were the fruits that come from vines, which are rich in lectins and can cause ulcers. So, I said to myself that I had to do something to honor God with the amount of breath I had left; something from which all of humanity could benefit from by becoming closer to God. And so, I came with the idea of writing this book.
