About the Book
Purpose isn't a poster on the wall. It's a strategy. Too many firms just exist. Surviving is one thing, but building a firm people believe in, engage with, and stay loyal to? That takes something more. In this book, Craig Galati shows you how to build a Purpose-Centered Business. He went straight to the source, sixteen highly successful firms, to uncover what actually separates purpose-driven companies from the rest. Not slogans. Not mission statements nobody remembers. Through real-life stories, Galati unpacks a working system that organizes strategy, culture, and daily decisions around a single core purpose. He reveals what these firms have in common, how they turn purpose into fierce employee and client loyalty, and why the payoff is bigger than you think. This isn't feel-good business theory — it's a playbook. And it will change how you see your firm. “In these pages, Craig has done something remarkable. He hasn’t just written a manifesto; he has assembled a "Brain Trust" of sixteen highly successful firms to demonstrate the how. These stories prove that purpose-driven leadership is a universal competitive advantage. You will see how these leaders use purpose to vet clients and projects, hire for cultural fit, and maintain integrity in the face of adversity.” Brent Robertson, Founder and CEO Be-Generative
About the Author
Craig Galati practiced architecture in Las Vegas, Nevada, for over four decades, from 1983 to 2026. He became a shareholder at LGA Architecture in 1991, where he built a career defined by purpose-driven leadership and innovative thinking, guiding the firm through the Great Recession and the COVID-19 pandemic before retiring in May 2026. Known for championing a deeply held core purpose, Galati organized LGA’s practice around a singular mission: enriching lives. That purpose-centered approach, paired with his forward-thinking marketing practices, earned him recognition as a leader in his field, including Fellowship in both the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), and was awarded the prestigious Weld Coxe Marketing Achievement Award from SMPS in 2023. A speaker, author, and artist, Galati brings the same clarity of vision to his creative work that defined his architectural career. His previous book, The Reluctant Leader, continues to resonate with readers. Galati and his wife, Sally, remain in Las Vegas, where they raised their two sons.
