About the Book

What would it be like to grow up with Jesus in the small town of Nazareth? What if you didn’t know He was the Messiah? What if you called him “Bro” or “Dude” and told him he was a pain in the neck? What if he gave you advice you didn’t like? James and his big brother go on picnics, rescue a dog, do homework together, and have tempting situations. James gets into trouble; Jesus never does, which annoys James.
James learns many lessons from his parents, his neighbors, his friends, and he grudgingly admits, from his big brother. These lessons are reflected years later when, as an apostle and head of the new Jerusalem church, he writes an epistle which is considered the basic handbook on practical Christianity.
Each chapter of James and His Brother with two or three simple questions, including the reference in James’ epistle to the teaching that the chapter illustrates.
The book can be enjoyed by individual readers, or in a small group, or as a book for Sunday School classes as well as home schoolers.
