About the Author

Sherman Baldwin, a graduate of Yale University, served as a naval officer from 1988 to 1995.
Following the Gulf War, he worked for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and then served as aide and
speechwriter to the Secretary of the Navy. After leaving the US Navy he graduated from Harvard
Business School and started his business career at McKinsey & Company. He is now the CEO
of LCR Capital Partners. He is also the author of Growing Up with Harry, a book about his
father, family values and stories of character. He lives in Connecticut with his wife Alice and
they are the proud parents of Henry, his wife Mary Kate, their daughter Lucy and their youngest
son Shane. They are kept busy caring for their two dogs, Tucker and Harvey.
