About the Author
Deji Badiru is an industrial engineer resident in Dayton, Ohio, USA. He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He is Dean Emeritus at the USA Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio, USA. He has over 40 years of teaching experience in engineering departments at various universities. He is a prolific author, who combines his instructional experience with his passion for practical hands-on pursuits in handicraft, fine arts, woodworking, concrete molding, photography, and graphic design. He is the President and Managing Partner of ABICS (AB International Consulting Services: www.ABICS.com) and a lead partner in Epe Welding Institute (EWI). He is a proud graduate of Saint Finbarr’s College, Akoka-Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. His academic degrees are from Tennessee Technological University and the University of Central Florida. He has held teaching and leadership positions at the University of Oklahoma, the University of Tennessee, and the USA Air Force Institute of Technology. His early works in the 1970s included serving as a Children’s Page Cartoonist (Fun with BB) for Daily Times of Nigeria and working as a Graphic Artist for Children’s Television Programs for the Lagos State Ministry of Education (Broad Street, Lagos). Deji Badiru is the lead product design for EWI. He also presently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University in Toronto, Canada.
Tony Mayfield is a senior systems engineer and engineering manager with more than 35 years of experience supporting DOE, NNSA, and DoD programs in nuclear and other highly regulated environments. His expertise includes system requirements definition and traceability, interface management, architecture integration, risk management, verification and validation planning, and engineering governance. Mr. Mayfield has led system-level engineering efforts across the full lifecycle, including concept development, design integration, installation, commissioning, operational readiness, and acceptance. He has extensive experience coordinating engineering design, safety, operations, IT, procurement, and compliance organizations, as well as managing subcontractor and vendor technical performance. With a foundation in Industrial Engineering and PMP certification, Mr. Mayfield integrates systems engineering discipline with schedule, cost, and resource management to support delivery certainty. He is recognized for his system-level thinking, technical leadership, and ability to communicate complex engineering issues effectively to government sponsors, executives, and multidisciplinary technical teams.
Damilola Adelaja is an Information Technology professional, AI solutions developer, and technology consultant with experience in systems administration, technical support, web application development, and artificial intelligence implementation. He currently serves as an IT Manager, where he leads technology initiatives, infrastructure management, and digital transformation initiatives.
He is the founder of TheOneFolio, a technology company specializing in website development, IT solutions, branding, and digital transformation services. Through his work, he has helped organizations strengthen their online presence and leverage technology to improve business operations.
Damilola has developed AI-powered applications and workflows focused on education, productivity, media localization, and business automation. His work includes integrating large language models (LLMs), speech recognition, AI-assisted content creation, intelligent workflow automation, and cloud-based technologies to solve practical organizational challenges. He has also contributed to the development of AI-driven educational platforms and tools that enhance learning and knowledge delivery.
His professional interests include artificial intelligence, software engineering, cybersecurity, cloud computing, systems integration, and project management. He is passionate about bridging the gap between emerging AI technologies and practical business applications, helping organizations adopt AI responsibly and effectively.
