About the Author

Ahkam Mohammed AL Taee holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Mosul University, Iraq (1971), and an M.Sc. in Machine Tool Technology from Birmingham University, UK (1975). Chartered Engineer, Iraqi Union of Engineers (1992) Professional Engineer, Board of Engineers Malaysia (1997) Professional Engineer, Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), Canada (2007) Mr. AL Taee brings extensive experience from both the public and private sectors, spanning a wide range of industries including Oil & Gas and Utilities (power and water distribution). His expertise covers maintenance, construction, and design. With more than 16 years of experience in supply management across multiple countries, he has been actively involved in preparing tenders, reviewing expressions of interest, evaluating commercial bids, negotiating contract terms and conditions, developing subcontracting strategies, managing change orders and claims, resolving contractual disputes, and coordinating with subcontractors, clients, and regulatory authorities. He is also proficient in the use of contract management and implementation systems such as Maximo, and ERP Oracle.
