This Spring holds a basket of promise for the little hamlet of Lafouchfeye (la-foosh-fay) County, Mississippi. Nick Ravioli and Angie Caraway are tying the knot in two months, Doc VanFleet is celebrating his first anniversary in his medical practice , and Sheriff Jethro Travis has renewed a boyhood pleasure. Raising pigeons. Sixty-nine years have passed since the Vietnam War, as with every conflict, thieves make a killing of contraband before, during, and after. During this time, four soldiers, two officers, and two enlisted assigned to Company ‘B’ Battalion Thirty-Two, Platoon Seven were involved. The usual souvenir pictures of the participants, and the victorious event were taken. Each person had a ‘set’. One enlisted man was Private Bryan Winslow from Lafouchfeye County, Mississippi. He was Bea Winslow’s younger brother, and Aunt Jewel’s nephew. There’s no honor among thieves, the other three eliminated the fourth member, killing him. The Army recorded his death as Killed In Action/ collateral damage. His personal items were mailed to his Aunt. Among the spoils buried were weapons, and would go to the highest bidder. The purpose, to rule the world. At that time the total would be around $5,000.00. Now the three of them would gain $2, Billion apiece.


About the Author

Terry I. Miles, 89, has lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since June of 1970, but has been writing since she could hold a pencil. She has garnered numerous monetary awards, and recognition with her poetry, short stories, cozy mysteries, cookbooks, and several children’s books. Terry is a veteran, and served four years in the U.S. NAVY. Later on she graduated from Jefferson Davis Junior College with her Associate’s Degree, and proceeded to The University of Southern Mississippi to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in English and History. She has been an intricate member of The Naval Construction Battalion Center, Gulfport, Mississippi over these ensuing years, working in Supply, Officer, and enlisted Bachelor Quarter’s receptionist, and at PSI (Personnel Support Detachment) for four years, and retiring from such in 1998. At present she is now retired from Cracker Barrel Restaurant and Gift Shop after five years. And working on her nineteenth cozy little murder mystery in her hometown of Gulfport, Mississippi.
