About the Book

MY DASH OF SOUTHERN WISDOM
“I have done so much with so little, for so long, I can do anything
with nothing.”
In the beginning, I knew our family came from a long line of Southern
roots. Beyond that, there is a link that is noteworthy to our long
lineage. The most evident is that we have a passion for life, laughter,
and food. We have regular family reunions. Once a year, we gather to
laugh, eat, and celebrate life. On more than one occasion, I thought to
myself, Write a book. So I have decided to take on the challenge.

About the Author

I was born in Tennessee. I began cooking at the tender age of 6 years old. I am not a trained chef, but I had an amazing instructor, my mother. I had the greatest test kitchen, which has been my life's journey. Plus, I have a heartfelt passion for food. After marrying my husband, I had the honor and privilege of being an Army wife for twenty years, which allowed me to live in Japan, Germany, and England. I experienced many dishes and delights. I am an artist, and studied art in England. I am passionate about mixed media, interior design, and landscape art. I started my first enterprise in 2012 called Designs by Finds. My designs are Classic European with a Southern flair.
