About the Author

ABOUT THE AUTHOR The author is a seventy-four-year-old retired trial lawyer who lives with his wife of forty-nine years, Deborah Warren Rommel, in Hunt, Texas on the North Fork of the Guadalupe River. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in History and from the University of Houston Law Center with a J.D. degree. For seventy years, he has been an avid outdoorsman. He and Deborah have three children. Emily, who lives in Houston with her husband, Bob Rinaldi. Andy, who lives in Oregon with his wife, Miranda. And youngest daughter, Sadie, who lives in Kerrville, Texas. ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR Andy Rommel, illustrator of this book, is a forty-two-year-old teacher and farmer who lives in Monmouth, Oregon with his wife, Miranda Rommel. He graduated with a B.F.A. degree from Baylor University and an M.F.A. in illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design. As is his dad, Andy is an avid outdoorsman.
