About the Book

"Pause & Ponder" is a soulful collection of reflections that invites readers to journey through Sabiha's perceptive observations and history. In her second foray into writing, she takes us deep into the landscapes of her past and present—both the places she’s called home and those she’s travelled to — offering a unique lens shaped by nostalgia, wonder, and quiet contemplation.
With a blend of storytelling, historical insight, and spiritual resonance, each chapter encourages the reader to pause—truly pause—and ponder the beauty in everyday life, the wisdom of the past, and the presence of the Divine in all things. From Sabiha's early childhood days of Pakistan’s formation, to culturally rich distant lands; she weaves the essence of her personal experiences with the historical context to create a rich and seamless tapestry of meaning.
This book is more than a collection of short stories; it is an introspective journey—one that traverses time, faith, and the enduring strength of the human spirit. With grace and reverence, it honours the dignity of people and the legacies of civilizations past.
Interwoven with her own art and timeless quotes from Sufi sages and great philosophers, "Pause & Ponder" is a gentle reminder that reflection is not only an act of remembering—but also of becoming. It is a call to slow down, to seek stillness, and to find beauty in both the fleeting and the eternal.
