About the Book
Think Again is a story of Black families that are respected in their community. In this community, Simon, who is a doctor, and a leader, takes the time to save lives doing great things with his siblings and continues the legacy of his parents, the leaders and the coconspirators in his region. After moving into a new neighborhood, Dr. Si is being faced with a variety of challenges. As Dr. Si and his family continue to rise in great opportunities, he is faced with the biggest challenge of his life. An incident happened to Geffrey, a cop in the community who has been harassing some neighbors including Simon’s family In the line of duty, Geffrey got injured seriously. His life is at stake and knowing that Dr. Si is known as the best Dr. in the region, he wants Dr. Si to save his life. What will Simon plan to do despite the pressure coming from the hospital and from the Black community?
About the Author
Lynda Dortélus is an educator, an artist and an author. Known for her work in education for more than 25 years, Lynda’s passion for teaching, training and empowering others is shown through her daily life as she embraces Black and different cultures. Born and raised in Montreal from Caribbean background, Lynda’s passion can be shown in this book as she portrays Black Excellency in her characters. Coming from a successful family and her close relationship with her sibling, growing up Lynda learned the importance of keeping the faith, building community, loving and respecting others. Despite the discrimination and the racial abuse that her and her family had to face for so many years and unfortunately continues today from time to time, Lynda always finds ways to rise to any occasion with the support of Black community leaders, co-conspirators she met along her journey, her family and her friends. Now living in Toronto, Lynda enjoys painting and showcasing Black Art. As you embark in this story, you will experience a wave of emotions that will compel you to reflect on your own path understanding that all choices makes us reflect to Think Again
