About the Book

Because this is a collection of letters, many of the conventions of narrative nonfiction writing do not apply. After all, the two principal characters were writing for one another, not for a general audience. Understood within this context, the writing is strong. Both writers are insightful people with distinctive voices and rich emotional experiences, and readers will be glad to have this window into their lives.

About the Author

Ada Kinder was born in 1947 in Italy, and raised in a private girls Catholic boarding school, in Alhambra California, an only child. I was married twice, had a child from each marriage, and a 24 year relationship with a woman. My two children learned about her through these letters and fell in love with her also. This is our story told through love letters.
