“Fragments of Her Mind” is a culmination of poetic works by the author. The content ranges from experiencing and processing mental health issues to critiques of our modern world. This writing is a raw, unvarnished account of a teen’s emotional metabolism of her experiences.

About the Author

Apaara Kaur has been writing poetry since she was ten years old. As she became an adolescent, poetry allowed her to process emotions and express her views about the world. Whether it was struggling with mental health, dealing with normal teenage anxiety or expressing anger about social injustices she witnessed or experienced first hand, writing became her greatest companion.

Apaara Kaur’s poetry is not limited by the dictates of style or rigidity of rules -- rather, like her thoughts, it is free flowing in form and substance. Poetry has become her superpower of expression. Apaara Kaur hopes to inspire others to view poetry as a means of catharsis, reflection and rejuvenation.
