About the Book

The mysterious disappearance of Lady Kathryn Pendul has Scotland Yard baffled and left without evidence against the only suspect, Sir Royden. Beth quickly becomes embroiled in the family’s affairs and not only finds herself the victim of a sinister plot of murder and deceit but realizes that she has succumbed to that absurd notion called love.

About the Author

B.J. Conner, an avid Victoria Holt fan, decided to write her own novels when she could no longer find those gothic mysteries that are so rare in today’s market. A lifelong southern Indiana native, she lives on a hill overlooking the Ohio River with her cats. She enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
