This book delves into the life of a woman born in Nigeria, her experiences growing up in that place, getting married and living her life with two children and husband before relocating to this place to begin again in the United States of America. For eleven years, Josephine lived a happy and fulfilling married life. Then, darkness fell. With no legal document to remain in the USA, with five children, she was crumbled. She did not know the next step to take, how to proceed and where she would end up. When she thought it was over, God took over. But, she, struggle, work After many years, she remarries. Today, she has become a proud mother of six successful children. With a terminal degree, Josephine in this book narrates her daunting journey through hardship and obstacles and celebrates her accomplishments that are longer than the neck of a giraffe. The book is a mixture of partly memoir and inspirational guide to raising successful children, two male Physicians, one Attorney 05/23), one in Real Estate, one DNP and the other in Mental Health.


About the Author

Dr. Josephine Nne Okoronkwo-Onor was born in Nigeria. She studied at Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri, Nigeria. Relocating to the USA, she earned B.A, English (magna cum laude), M.ED., Guidance and Counseling and PHD, Public Policy. She currently serves as the Director of Student Development | International Center where she provides guidance, and motivation tin shaping students’ live, and an Adjunct Professor of Public Policy/Administration at Southern University at New Orleans. Okoronkwo-Onor’s opinions on immigration and travel warnings on the Ebola virus are published in Newspapers: The Times Picayune and The Advocate. She is a motivational speaker, an author and presenter in a handful of conferences including: NAFSA: Association of International Educators, American Society of Public Administration, Louisiana Chapter. She is the co-author of Arise: Portraits of Nigerian Women of Excellence in the USA, 2000. Dr. Okoronkwo –Onor is married with six children, five grandchildren and to those yet unborn.
