About the Book

In this first series installment, Overcoming: A Personal Journey from Discouragement to Encouragement, Dr. Dokk Elle wants to reach others through encouraging words and personal insight as to how it’s possible to overcome obstacles that may not be in your control. By telling his story, Dr. Elle chronicles his journey from humble beginnings to greater heights, showing readers that they don’t have to settle for the circumstances in which they were born or somehow placed. He strives to give others hope that anything is possible, no matter from what corner of the world you hail. In his famous but factual words, “It’s not how you start but how you finish.”

About the Author

Dr. Dokk Elle is a 38-year Army veteran and a licensed, ordained minister who has always had a passion to serve and help others. Dokk is a Queens, New York native who was raised in Salley, South Carolina, where he graduated from Wagener-Salley High School. Dokk earned two bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Religious Studies, respectively, from Saint Leo University, two master’s degrees in Divinity and Theology, respectively, from Christian Life School of Theology, an advanced graduate degree in Ministerial Counseling and a Doctorate of Theology degree from Beacon University. He is also the Founder and Pastor of Christ’s Anointed Ministries Center, Inc.
