About the Book
Vivien is a caring and loving child who is always ready with a big smile and a warm hug. When she meets new student Nico at school Vivien finds it difficult to speak to him at first since he is hearing impaired. Through her curiosity, perseverance and eagerness to learn Vivien and Nico become quick friends and Vivien discovers that there are other wonderful forms of communication.
About the Author
Dr. Danielle Hyles is a Canadian author with Trinidadian heritage who is currently a school administrator with the Durham Catholic District School Board. She has written a research-based educational leadership book entitled “Bridging the Opportunity Gap” for educators all over the globe. She has also authored four children’s books, “Loving My Working Mom”, “Seeds of Belonging”, “God’s Children Are Math Wizards”, and “We Can’t Stop Now”. “Hugging is My Superpower” is her fifth Children’s book and explores communication through various forms.
