About the Book

Rick and Tess Martin emerged from the “Nineteenth Century farmhouse” that they just bought for short money with their goal to bring it back to its former glory. It was once a dairy farm in rural Massachusetts, near the Rhode Island Border. Rick grabbed his wife’s shoulder as they were heading for their vehicle. “So, what do you think Babe?” “Did we make the right move in getting out of Park City to the country?” Tess, a forty-two-year-old former “financial secretary” for an insurance firm smiled. “Without a doubt hon. I know it’s going to be a challenge, but I know we will bring the old girl back to when it was a milk farm.” Rick said. “I couldn’t agree more. Just breathing the air here is enough of a reason to start a new chapter in our lives, and with our twenty-four-year-old twins, who are both carpenters, and our beautiful daughter and her husband wanting to pitch in, it’s a no-brainer. Let’s go into Rockville to get a bite to eat.”

Raymond C. Wood resides in Lakeville, MA, with his wife Kathleen of 54 years. He always had a passion for reading and writing. He has written a science fiction satire novel called “A Cop’s Outer Space Odyssey.” He has also written a thriller book, “The Magenta Door” as well as a children’s fable titled “Peppermint Valley.” In addition to the other novels, he has also invented a board game named “Joust,” which revolves around medieval times. In his spare time Ray also enjoys going to old car shows and taking out his modified 54’ Ford Skyliner on weekend rides with his wife.
