About the Book

Sabrina is a senior at Denver High School, and on her first day manages to end up in detention with Simon and Miles. Then, something wild happens. They’re thrown into a void and travel to a new world where magic is real. Surprisingly, Sabrina’s mom has magic and begins to mentor both Sabrina and her friends, increasing their abilities and improving their skill. Sabrina loves her new life until her session with Lionel Tucker when she and her pals accidentally end up in the lair of Emperia’s arch nemesis. When Sabrina first came to this world of magic, she was unwanted and unwelcome. Now, there’s no more time for sulking. Sabrina must find strength and put the past behind her. She will either step bravely into this new world and save her friends or be trapped forever.

About the Author

Giovanni Uzokwe is a ten-year-old boy who loves to write and read. His favorite color is red and won second place in two spelling bees when he was young. He has five siblings including his brother and sister, Raluchi, and Amaka. He started writing small books when he was about five. His favorite food is rice. He was born in Aba, Nigeria and visits once a year.
