About the Book

This is a reference book of number facts and patterns. It is meant to be looked at and played with. It can be used in many different ways, such as: games of comparison, remembering multiplication facts, or to facilitate counting by different numbers. Originally it would be in a 3 ring binder with the blacked out numbers being holes in the pages slid into plastic sheets so you could see through the little windows that it makes.

About the Author

I am the mother of 5 children, 4 are still alive and one was a SIDS. Of those children, 3 were born by a mid-wife attending and 2 were born in the hospital with all the doctor's preferences instead of mine. My first baby died when he was 16 days old and he was born in a hospital. My next baby was born with a mid-wife attending in a hospital setting with all the birthing plans that I wanted. I was home within 6 hours of the birth in my own bed with my newborn. The next baby was born in a hospital only because the doctor knew that if there were any complications I would not risk having the baby at home. He wanted the money and told me that my blood count was too low and I risked a blood transfusion. Curious enough as soon as the baby was born my blood count was above normal. Convenient for the doctor. The last two were born at home, I listened to my gut feeling instead of the doctor both times. I had the most beautiful home births with 2 mid-wives attending each of those births. I raised 4 very healthy babies to adulthood. Life is precious for each one of them. My Grand Parents traveled to the United States and Canada from Sweden to start a new life. Thus I proudly fly the Swedish Flag. They first settled in Casper, Wyoming. When they found out that Canada had land to homestead, they picked up their belongings and drove their Model T to Canwood, Saskatchewan and settled there. That is where my mom was born. .. I love the internet and computers. I like to organize things because I was once a Librarian and I loved that too. Gardening is fun and so is making the lawn green. Teaching children and watching them explore are fascinating to me. I have a large collection of toys and learning activities that I have left over from when my kids were young. I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Teaching Degree in Elementary Education and was a 4.0 student.
