About the Book
This is a light and personable account of a quick tour of parts of Greece in 2019. The tour focused on ancient Grecian sites—archaeological wonders and the museums connected with those sites, from the Acropolis to t he original Olympics, from the Agora to Mycenae—and on some of the most appealing places of modern Greece—the beauties of Nafplion and three of the Saronic Islands. The book is lushly illustrated with 100 of the author’s photographs.
About the Author
Glynn Baugher grew up in rural Virginia; graduated from William Monroe High School; earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory and Henry College; earned his Master of Arts degree and Ph.D. from Tulane University. While teaching at the college level for thirty-four years, Glynn married and fathered three children. Today he is retired and lives in Emory, Virginia.
