It is a chronology of events, starting with their induction into the Imperial Roman army and continuing to some days after the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Some of the chapters in these two books share instances from the four New Testament gospels of the Bible. What is imaginative in the narrative is largely detail of what has been left open in the biblical and historical accounts. Nothing has been included that did not seem to be a reasonable assumption.
The second story touches on the unmistakable fact, not all that someone deems wonderous can be appreciated in the same way by others. The beautiful part is, God lets us as individuals, decide what is precious to us.
