About the Author
Nicholas John Chiaravalloti (Nico) wrote this story when he was in 3rd grade and transformed it to its current book form much later. He was motivated to complete this project in memory of the family dog, Kona, who was a Golden Retriever. Kona lived his entire life with Nico and his family (September 21, 2001 – January 16, 2016).
