Looking back over all the passing years, at all the joys and fears You recognize that underneath you both are God’s everlasting arms, That have carried you, and kept you both from everlasting harms. Such love, long lived, is a precious thing That makes the humble heart dance and sing.

About the Author

Robin Penman Smith is in love with his wife Diana after more than fifty years of marriage. He is also an Episcopal priest with a varied background, serving in city and suburban churches, and in short term missions in Ecuador, Nigeria, and Uganda. Now in semi-retirement he is the Vicar of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, a small country parish in Bonham, Texas. His title, The Rev. Canon Dr. Robin Penman Smith, testifies not only to his educational background, but also to a lifetime of joys and tears that are the very nature of parish ministry.
