"The Peak" A cloudy sky and the sun was high, we came to hide but it was wide. Our shadows fade Vows we made, To keep walking, To keep talking. We follow wherever the wind blows and the shade of tree fits more than three. Slippery when wet, On a bamboo stick we bet Cliff on the other side Stiff in every stride. Finally, our feet lead us to the Peak and let us peek at hiker's feat, Slow or fast no one's last for every heartbeat is like a blast. "Undermined Flaws" Every person is beautiful. Others may quickly find flaws but we know in ourselves that very consideration that we put to self, we still find we're better than the others, probably sometimes when we're exposed to new things or behavior we tend to irk or cringe specifically if they don't mirror our likeness and simply judge others as rude. As for me, I believe in every person's individualism and I always encourage and support those people, primarily we are not here in this world to conform or to belong to the norm but to cherish our uniqueness and differences, enjoying diversity, respecting varied views in multi-culturalism aspect without undermining unity. "My Pill" If you expect nothing, you'll be amazed of all the surprises you'll get. All these years I managed to get away with disappointments and lived a stress-free life. Learn to accept an apology, even if no one asks. There are people in this world that doesn’t really care about other people's feeling. Crack some jokes, and show some love at the end. Hug and kiss them, tell them it was just for fun. I say “Lablab” all the time. Never and never ever compare yourself to others or overly praise anyone, It’s just the same banana with different peeling. And most importantly, you can't please everybody in this world, Just let it go and never woo. "Oh, Sean" A never-ending flow, with each splashes grow. In this deep turquoise blue water, untamed waves are wilder. The sea breeze came warm, when wrapped in his chubby arm. Each water sprinkles brings chill, enormous waves are drizzling still. I've never felt warm, in his unwavering charm. Though struggling the ocean's waves, it's paid with great island's coves and caves. Oh, Sean's apart in an hour and half, finally we heard them laugh. Worried they may seems, But great to see a smile in them.

About the Book
This book is filled with life’s lessons in poetry and quotes about the author’s daily encounters. Facing life as he views it, from the vast influences from his political and cultural activist, artist, sociologist, and a counselor’s life. In here you will see over-lay illustrations depicting the message of each poems which can also serve as a coloring book for your indulgence. I choose to present them in black and white to let you know that I had much-colored friends in my life but I have few friends who talk to me about what they’re going through. Depression and Mental health are widely discussed nowadays but there are just few people who reach out to talk about their struggle. It’s a day in the life of a multi-potentialist.
About the Author
Glengyl Umali also known as “Langyawng Laaw” on YouTube, took a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) – Philippines. He earned a Masteral units in Sustainable Development Studies (MiSDS) major in Sustainable Community Development at the said university and Masteral units in Public Administration in MSU – Marawi. Mr. Umali is a multi-potentialist having a variety of accomplishments in the field of Community Organizing focusing on Conflict Management and Peace Education in Northwestern Mindanao through Pailig Development Foundation, Incorporated (PDFI). An HIV AIDS counselor trained by the Alliance Against AIDS in Mindanao, a former youth facilitator of the Bishop-Ulama Conference – Mindanaw Tripartite Youth Core. (BUC-MTYC). And served as a Secretariat and a Production Staff of The Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG) in Iligan. In 2011, he was chosen as one of the four (4) representative from the Philippines during the “Asia – Pacific Forum: Youth Action on Climate Change; Exploration through Cultural Expression” in Rajamangala University of technology Phra Nakhon in Thailand. He was a SPAFA scholar from 2010 to 2011. He is currently working as a Check-in-Coordinator at a prominent Self-Publishing Company based in the US. His inspiration are his authors whom have made him write this book, with various manuscript he sees everyday before turning them into an actual book he feels blessed to have read them before publication.
