About the Book
In a world where the Bible is often misunderstood, misused, and misapplied, Reading the Bible Well offers a clear and comprehensive guide to interpreting God’s Word with accuracy and confidence. Dr. Michael A. Brown distills nearly five decades of biblical scholarship and pastoral wisdom into an accessible resource that equips readers with essential tools for faithful Bible study. Every serious student of Scripture must answer a critical question: how do we bridge the distance of time, culture, and language to understand what God’s Word meant then — and what it means for us today? Through six carefully structured sessions, readers will explore the foundations and history of biblical interpretation, the proven Inductive Method for studying Scripture, essential research tools and techniques, and time-tested rules for interpreting sentences, words, examples, and prophecy. Whether you’re a pastor, teacher, student, or devoted believer, Reading the Bible Well will transform the way you read, study, and apply Scripture — with the care and precision God’s Word deserves.
