'Frantic' -- a state of being always anxious, worried, frenetic and uptight about day to day activities. The dictionary instead describes “Frantic” as desperate or wild with excitement, passion, fear, and pain.
From my survival of life experience with natural disaster and political turmoil’s, "Frantic souls" gives accounts of some challenging situations I had to go through. Hopefully, you can use these stories in your own life to survive your next hardship. Most of the times you will not know how your next tragic event will interfere with your plan and what to do when it suddenly appears. Most people who face calamities on a regular basis, do not allow themselves to wallow in regret and despair. Some people express themselves loudly while others rarely become paralyzed by emotions. Instead, they prepare as much as humanly possible for what is to come, so they are not surprised when tragedy strikes. It keeps them very alert and gives them the strength and opportunity to become a better person.
I came from a place where most people shared a unique and uneasy sense of existence. From the parade of un-befitting political powers to mother nature's relentless assaults that I have witnessed while growing up, I have learned to muddle through pains with courage and tenacity.
I came from a culture where even songs and music contain deep folkloric traditions; there are epic tragedies and depressing rhymes embedded in most of the soulful lyrics. Despite the underlying sad emotions, they chorus, the deep-rooted beat always projects an air of happiness. It is an excellent and joyful rhythm that can put you in the mood to dance irrespective of your sad moments.
Notwithstanding how blessed in the life I share with others, I always keep in the back of my mind a constant game of 'Worst Case Scenario' that things can change at any minute. My older daughter calls me the worrier. It is not that I worry all the time, it is a pre-disposition of self-awareness embedded in my being aware that life is a roller-coaster; good and bad things can occur at any time. I can do that without impeding my happiness.
While it is true, many suffer from tribulations during their lifetimes, yet there are others who seem to have endured a lot more catastrophic events that they seem to be able to handle.
When you suffer beyond the usual way of life, people float around the word "cursed" to describe the inevitable troubles your destiny seems to hold. It is necessary to remember yourself and remind them that you do not believe “Being cursed” as the ultimate truth God has bestowed upon you.
Contrary to widespread rumors, it makes them believe that you understand the inexorable of some of these unfortunate circumstances. God is with you; you are not scared, and God will give you the strength to endure whatever life throws at you.
‘Frantic Souls’ will endeavor to provide you with a unique and honest view of someone who grew up with some serious challenges. Throughout the years. I have learned to become buoyant while going through endless strings of heartbreaking events.
