An inspiration of a girl being diagnosed with Leukemia, at the age of thirteen. Sharing the story of her difficult “cancer journey” when first diagnosed and many times wanting to give up, however, her family would not let her.

About the Author

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. In April of 1983, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), at the age of thirteen. Being diagnosed with cancer was a shock to me and my family, an experience that changed my life forever. Even though I was diagnosed with cancer over 36 years ago, 4/4/1983, I remember that day like it was yesterday. I want to share the story of my “unknown journey ahead” to help others who are fighting cancer right now. Also, I made a promise to myself in 1988, when I was considered “cured”, to raise money for cancer research. Proceeds of this book will go towards cancer research and programs for cancer patients.
