From addict to pastor, Poems That Speak To The Spirit is a profound collection of writings that unravel the journey of Pastor Christina Walker’s life. Before being saved by God’s grace, Pastor Walker fought a severe drug and alcohol addiction that left her confused and seeking spiritual fulfillment. Eventually, she realized that accepting God in her life was her only solution to finding happiness. Through her poetry, Pastor Walker seeks to inspire others to fully embrace God and accept HIS healing powers. She writes of love, faith and hope in this collection that vividly traverses her metamorphosis into a dedicated and unwavering follower of God.

About the Author

Pastor Christina Walker, a native of Brooklyn, is actively involved in her community. She has six children, fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren. In addition to being involved in the National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS, Pastor Walker since the year 2001 has been the Director of the HIV/AIDS Ministry at Christ the Rock World Restoration Center and she thanks Bishop Jonathan Owhe and Apostle Olatoyin Owhe for allowing her to spread her wings in order to make a positive difference and great impact in the lives of many through the HIV/AIDS ministry. Among her many accomplishments, she has been a speaker for several events, including the Legislative Breakfast sponsored by The Bedford-Stuyvesant Crown Heights Community Coalition on Research and Planning, CNR’s Pastoral Breakfast; and the AIDS Awareness Program. She also spoke for the legistlature in Albany, NY for the “Fifty-plus Population.” Adding that on May 15, 2018, she turned 81 years of age. When she is not involved in advocacy, Pastor Walker enjoys writing, dancing, teaching Bible study classes, ministering to others and praying for others.
