Barbara S. Andrews, a former Sheriff Correctional officer for the Milwaukee County Sheriff Office, was inspired to write as a little girl at around age 11, but, did not have the guidance of a mentor to pursue her writing career. After many years had passed, she birthed three children out of wedlock, whom she raised alone. Having children at age 18, prevented her from entering college after high school. At age 33, she attended Cardinal Stritch University, in Milwaukee, WI; starting in 2003 and ending in 2011, with a Masters in Business Management. Two unsuccessful marriages led her to return to school for a second Masters where she would be a licensed Marriage & Family Counselor/Therapist. While seeking God, she was forced to see her life in an empty glass. In her most difficult times, God strengthened her to write her first book, War Before Wisdom. As she was writing it, she could feel her wounds beginning to heal. Her hope is that everyone that reads her book is inspired, and it causes a life-changing experience for them; one that leads them to God, change, and a mirror to view themselves, through the eyes of God.
