Often times I have heard people exclaimed “God! How did I miss it?” “As hard as I tried, yet I failed,” “How come everyone else is succeeding but when I try, my case is always different?” I have equally seen a lot of people given up on a life-long dream because it’s taking too long than they expected to achieve/realize. Some people have even totally erased the words “try harder” from their vocabulary because they believe they have tried the hardest. It’s not coincidental that for some, at every point of success, they find out that they have to start all over again. In Matthew 19:26, the bible says “Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Therefore, in everything we do that we did not succeed, for every step we have taken that failed, for that dream that eventually died after we have tried so hard, there was something missing – GOD. I have been there at some point where I have to ask myself “where did I go wrong?” The answer has always been “with God ALL things are possible.” If you persist and not give up, you will succeed at God’s appointed time. (I addressed Persistency in this book). Many people have taken God off their plans, hence the struggle and eventual failure. The reason for this book. A lot of people pursue some carriers because their friends are doing well in it, but they end up not continuing in that carrier because it turned out to be not what they expected. It’s not surprising that some people have idea about so many things, they even get some form of training in almost all of them, but they really never master any of them. They never follow any till the end. At the tower of Babel in Genesis 11, the bible recorded that God saw the work that men did and He concluded that "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this (building a tower they purpose in their heart to reach heaven), then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.” God saw the power of unity and one language amongst men, I believe too that we will do greatly if we have that same kind of unity with God and speak His language. If God’s hand is in our business, because God is not a failure, you will not fail. The bible says “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33. If we put God first in the decisions we make; to marry, to raise a family, to pursue a carrier, to establish a company, to make investments, the choice of whom to marry, even the choice of what to name your child, and type of car to buy etc., any decision at all that need to be made, you will see the hand of God in it. Seek Him first, not later. Work and walk with Him, He will not leave you by yourself.

About the Author
O. Ven Ogbebor has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Benin in Nigeria, and he has two master’s degrees in law from Indiana University and the University of Cincinnati. Ven has been in God’s ministry for many years, and as a youth he grew in his faith through the youth ministry of Church of God Mission International (CGMi) in Benin City, Nigeria. He moved to the United States in 2004 and joined The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Dominion Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Later accepting a leadership role with the church, he is today the lead pastor at RCCG Dominion Center, Dayton.
