IT WAS ALL A DREAM...or so it seemed. The perfect marriage. Wonderful kids. A peaceful life. Before it all, Nard couldn’t begin to imagine just how enjoyable tying the knot could really be. At least, that is, until the green grass on his side of the fence went unmowed or run-ins with the law became a normal trend. What lies ahead, only time and prayer can keep their vows bonded over troubled waters.

About the Author

Born and raised in Columbus, Ga on October 20, 1974. Raised in a small home with a family of five: Father, Maurice Hickey(R.I.P.), mother, Barbara Harris, and two siblings(Chris and Terry Hickey). Both parents remarried with my father’s wife having a daughter, Ursula Hickey. I have a son, Kedar Hickey, and a daughter, Asia Nichole Jackson. I attained my G.E.D. along with several other college certifications (Culinary Arts, Restaurant Management, and Computers), all while incarcerated. Upon my release in 2014, I attended Barber School and graduated in 2015. As for past time, I enjoy playing chess/checkers, fishing, reading and exercising.
