I close my eyes and listen to the flowing brook. Smell the flowers and hear the sounds that can not be mistook. Nature all around me, God's creation here. The sound of God still working, falls upon my ear. A gentle breeze that's blowing, makes the leaves to dance. Am I supposed to be here or was it just by chance. I take a breath while thinking, what a place to be. For God created all of this just for you and me.

I would like to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is my best friend and is always there for me through good and bad. He is my strength and high tower. It is because of my love for the Lord and the talents that he has given me that I have written these poems. I hope that in some way you will receive a blessing from them.
About the Author
Christina Lord, currently a poet, has published several poems on Poetry.com and has received two Editor’s Choice Awards (1999), as well as a poem published in the International Library of Poetry Book (The Mystic Night). She has also received a Certificate of Accomplishment from the International Library of Poetry (2007).
She also enjoys painting on canvas. She has two children, five grandchildren, and lives in Alabama, enjoying the simple country life.
