I Ain’t Got No Money By A. L. Green My car broke down, and my son has the flu. I ain’t got no money. So what else is new. My bills ain’t paid, and my mortgage is late. I ain’t got no money. So they just all have to wait. My son needs new shoes, and my feet hurt. I ain’t got no money. So I best to be going to work. My grass is dying, and my dog chewed up the hose. I ain’t got no money. So, that’s the way life goes. It’s My Time! By W. Winsle Wiggins IV I didn’t write this for you. I wrote this for me. This is what I rarely do. To help me become a better me. I’m not a sucker or a punk. Won’t let the world beat me up. I’m not a smoker or a drunk. Won’t let the days pass me up. I’m in charge of this life. I’m the one who has to fight. You can’t bleed for me. But, don’t let me be. When I get cut by that knife, called life. Got to protect it with all my might. And, my life is like a traffic light. Don’t want to stop, slow, no. Just Go! Sometimes I rather Gun it. And, run it. Keep moving forward and then some. Don’t want to break the momentum. Life is too short. I have to build my fort. It’s my time! I have to take advantage of it. Commit not crimes. I won’t fall in that pit. That’s not what I was made for. I’m not going to be poor. Tough, down to the core. I’m not anyone’s whore. Instead, you’ll find me down by the seashore. Flying my kite. Too cool to follow the next great hype. Nature is my friend. I play it like an instrument. Making the wind bend. So you see, I have a large appetite to live free. Like a dog, eat it all, and don’t bother me. Need to make necessities less necessary. Wasn’t ready to marry. Didn’t need to sign a paper to say I do. To prove to you. That I do Love you Did all that I could do Not trying to be a paper weight to hold you down Not every king and queen deserve their crown I’m the king of this vessel Epidermis made of metal No greed in me You see I don’t need To make your good deeds My needs I’m not jealous Nor zealous Or rebellious Sometime I sit in my room And think About what I have accomplished In the past seven years In my prime So much gloom It stinks And I’m astonished Of how I held in all those tears But yet at the same time Through the dusty plum I drink And I toast Cause I’ve done more than most Of that I promise I’ve confronted most of my fears And so I thank God that I’m alive Proud to have had survived There’s perseverance in me My experience can’t be bought with money And even though I got no House or yacht Still I’m happy with what I got So I didn’t write this for you I wrote this for me This is what I rarely do To help me become a better me I got nothing to prove But need to improve consistently It doesn’t bother me If you don’t like my poetry Hypertension By Anthony R. Williams Summertime is here, it’s time to play You can’t wait for that vacation Diet and exercise? Not today It’s all about relaxation Just when you think, you have it all Not just your riches or wealth Life takes a turn, and just stalls You paid no attention to your health High Blood Pressure, Hypertension Be careful of what you eat And also it must be mentioned High blood symptoms you can’t cheat Headache, Tinnitus and confusion Vision problems and chest pains Circulatory occlusions Sit back, let me explain Obstruction of blood flow in an artery Is serious, it’s no joke Can cause death, maybe a heart attack Most of the time, a stroke Take care of yourself, watch what you eat And pay close attention Drive with your health in the front seat And look out for Hypertension

About the Book
Quilts are made of many multi-colored patches of varying design. Alone, each square is nothing but a tiny piece of a bigger puzzle. Together, these patches build to make something comforting and beautiful.
The same can be said of life: we are all small pieces of a whole, and together, we make a work of art. Love’s Fabric Woven Together is a poetry collection penned by a father, mother, and son, each with his or her own unique life stories. We are all part of God’s quilt.
About the Author
A.L. Green-Williams grew up in South Central LA. She was her grandmother’s little helper from age four to fourteen, before returning to live with her parents. Mrs. Green-Williams is the youngest of fi ve siblings and loves to write, draw, and paint. She also desires to act. A.L. is an ordained minister who looks to Jesus Christ as her guide. She resides in Washington with her husband, Tony.
Anthony R. Williams was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and served eight years in the U.S. Marine Corp. Tony began writing at a young age. He was in the ninth grade when he entered a city poetry contest, which he won. Writing poetry is his favorite past time, and he hopes that you enjoy his work. Tony resides with his wife, A.L., in Washington.
W. Winsle Wiggins IV, a young man with European and African descent, grew up in South Central LA. Jesus Christ is his Lord and Savior. W. Wiggins has visited twenty countries and over thirty states, which has taught him to be kind, understanding and grateful. He has an entrepreneurial spirit and currently works multiple crafts in film production. Writing has been his outlet since childhood. W. Wiggins is Mrs. Green-Williams’ son, and resides in California with his wife, Carmell.
