About the Book
Meet Queen is the second book in the series The Adventures of Panther the Cat. The book is a light-hearted story about a cat named Panther who is an adopted stray, and a shelter cat named Queen who becomes his special friend. Each chapter takes the reader or pre-reader on one of their adventures. Between the chapters are sections titled Facts About Cats. These relate information which is interesting and informative. In this book, the work of the Humane Society is explained and indicates why their efforts are so badly needed. The book should appeal to animal lovers of all ages and some of the adults who have purchased it, have given it enthusiastic reviews. The book is intended for readers aged 7 to 10 but many age groups will find it entertaining; especially cat lovers and the young at heart. Happy reading.
About the Author
Mary Martinen is a retired physician living in the Detroit area with her cats. She started writing because she thought it would be fun, and because she wanted to share her cat, Panther, with other cat lovers. She has published articles in the medical literature but this is the first children's series of books. She hopes that the reader will enjoy the book as much as she enjoyed writing it.
