Imagine being born with a backpack. This backpack goes with you everywhere you go. Now imagine every aching experience since conception. Think about anyone who has had negative feelings or actions toward you. Now imagine each instance or each individual as a rock thrown in that backpack. Remember, you carry this backpack 24/7. The weight of rocks in this backpack is the emotional burden you have been carrying around since your birth. Now imagine all this baggage being transferred to your child when s/he is conceived (Epigenetics). This is why it is crucial that this baggage is properly addressed in a timely manner.
We all have our own baggage. It could be from unpleasant childhood memories, grief over losing a loved one, or the grief of a failed marriage, or from emotional/verbal abuse or an act of violence. Who hasn’t ever felt rejected, betrayed, shameful or felt like a failure? These negative emotions drain us of our energy. If we confronted these emotions, less energy would be drained from us. The shutting down of our emotional storage units is the root cause of “dis-ease”.

The mirroring effect will repeat itself until we change our behavior and emotional state. How many times have you experienced the same type of scenario over and over again with different people? Children will take on their parents’ positive qualities, but also their negative qualities. The pattern can continue from generation to generation unless the pattern is evaluated.

Americans spent $31.6 billion on ADHD and ADD in 2000. Boys are about three times more likely than girls to be diagnosed with it. Many Gifted and Talented children tend to be extremely intense. This intensity can be in what they are pursuing, rivalry, power struggles or emotional responses. These children also tend to be impatient with themselves and others. Gifted children tend to be bored in a regular classroom.
There are very successful gifted people who learned how to deal with ADHD. Paul Orfalea, the founder of Kinko’s knew at a young age that ADHD would trouble him from menial tasks. Since sitting still was an issue for him, he often visited his stores and applied his strengths in this area.
David Neeleman, the founder and CEO of JetBlue, also says his success is because of his ADHD. He was able to create a business model for a fleet of planes in a troubled airline industry and revolutionize the concept of translating efficiency and value for its consumers.
Food additives such as dyes and colorings have been implicated in ADHD. In 16 out of 23 studies on food additives and ADHD, it was found that these food additives exacerbated the symptoms of ADHD in some children. ADHD children placed on gluten-free diets have shown remarkable improvements in their concentration and behavior.
Studies have shown that increased omega-3 in the diets were more effective than Ritalin, with no side effects. Often creative children use deviations classified as ADHD/ADD (easily distracted) as a way to think creatively.
